Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival to Sri Lanka

Arrival at Colombo Airport.
East Bay Tours chauffeur will meet you and welcome you with orchid garlands.
Directly check in to the nearest Negombo Hotel.
Visit Negombo City Tour, Fish Market, Boat Safari in the Ancient Dutch Canal, and Negombo Lagoon.
Overnight at Negombo Hotel.

Day 2 Pinnawala - Minneriya

Check out from the hotel. After breakfast, start traveling to Dambulla.
En-route visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. (80 Homeless & Disabled)
Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is a captive breeding and conservation institute for wild Asian elephants.
At the Pinnawala, you can feed the baby elephant and go to the elephant ride (optional).
In the afternoon, join Minneriya National Park Jeep Safari to watch hundreds of wild elephants. Other than elephants, see Leopards, Sloth Bear, Spotted Deer, Sambar Deer, Wild Buffalo, Wild Pig, Grey Langurs, Purple-faced Leaf Monkey, three species of Mongoose, Porcupine, and Indian Pangolin.

Day 3 Ancient Kingdom - Anuradhapura

Wake up early in the morning and taste the Ceylon blended tea cup.
After relaxing breakfast at the hotel, start traveling to the kingdom of Anuradhapura.
Explore the whole ancient city of Anuradhapura. (UNESCO World Heritage Site)
(Twin Pond, Ranmasu Uyana, Abayagiriya Sthupa, Lowamahapaya)
Visit Sri Maha Bodhiya. Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi is a historically significant sacred bo tree (Ficus religiosa) located in the Mahamewuna Garden of the ancient city of Anuradhapura. It is renowned for being the oldest documented living tree in the world.
Visit Ruwanweli Pagodala. The stupa ranks among the tallest ancient monuments globally, reaching a height of 103 meters (338 feet) and encompassing a circumference of 290 meters (951 feet). It houses two quarts, or one Dona, of the Buddha’s relics, establishing it as the most significant repository of his relics in existence.

Day 4 Explore Polonnaruwa

After breakfast, start traveling to the kingdom of Polonnaruwa.
Explore Ancient Kingdom Polonnaruwa. Polonnaruwa was Sri Lanka’s spectacular second ancient city (UNESCO World Heritage Site).

Day 5 Marvel of Sigiriya

After breakfast, start traveling to Sigiriya and explore UNESCO World Heritage Sigiriya Rock Fortress.
Sigiriya Lion Rock stands as one of Sri Lanka’s most esteemed historical landmarks. Often dubbed the Eighth Wonder of the World by locals, this ancient palace and fortress complex holds considerable archaeological significance and draws thousands of visitors each year. It is likely the most frequented tourist attraction in Sri Lanka.
Next, travel to the Kingdom of Kandy.

Day 6 Explore Kandy

After breakfast, visit the temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy.
The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a significant Buddhist temple situated in Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is part of the Royal Palace Complex of the historical Kingdom of Kandy and is renowned for housing the revered relic of the Buddha’s tooth.
Next, enjoy visiting authentic Sri Lankan precious stones, art, crafts, and batik clothing.
Visit the Gem Museum and Batik & Silk Factory.
Visit Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden.
The area boasts a diverse and extensive collection of tropical woody plants. Spanning 59 hectares (146 acres), it is home to approximately 4,000 plant species.
Observe Kandy Public Market.
Return to Kandy Hotel for a few hours and relax.

Day 7 Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast, start to travel to Nuwara Eliya.
En-route visit Temple Loop (Embekke wood carving temple, Gadoladeniya stone carving temple, Lankathilaka image house).
The Embekke, Lankatilaka, and Galadeniya temples, often collectively known as the ‘three temple loop,’ are perhaps Gampola’s most renowned attractions. Located in close proximity to one another, these temples stand as a vibrant testament to Sri Lanka’s rich Buddhist heritage, historical significance, and remarkable artistry.
After breakfast, start to travel to Nuwara Eliya.
Explore Ramboda waterfall.
Visit Damro Labukele Tea Factory & Tea Shop.
Labookellie is renowned for its exceptional production of some of Ceylon’s finest teas, which are highly sought after by tea enthusiasts globally. Additionally, the iconic Damro Tea Lounge, situated next to the factory, attracts numerous visitors, both foreign and local, who enjoy a refreshing cup of exquisite tea as they continue their journey to the central hills.

Day 8 Explore Nuwara Eliya

Wake up early morning and travel to Horton Plains with breakfast packets.
Horton Plains National Park is a national park situated in the central highlands of Sri Lanka. It has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site and is located at an elevation ranging from 2,100 to 2,300 meters (6,900 to 7,500 feet). The park features montane grassland and cloud forest ecosystems, boasting a rich biodiversity with numerous species that are endemic to this region.
Enjoy an interesting trek to explore World End and Bakers Falls.
Back to Nuwara Eliya and visit city places: Strawberry Plantation, Victoria Park, Gregory Lake, and colonial buildings.
Subsequently, take a trip to Gregory Lake to witness the stunning sunset. Stroll through ‘The Little England,’ where you will encounter welcoming residents.

Day 9 Explore Ella

The day begins with breakfast at the hotel, followed by a transfer to Nanu Oya Train Station to embark on one of the most picturesque train journeys in the world, the “Nanu Oya to Ella” train ride.
This approximately two and a half-hour journey offers breathtaking views as it takes you to the enchanting hill country, culminating in the stunning mountain town of Ella.
Upon arrival at Ella Train Station, you will be greeted by our chauffeur guide.
Climb and enjoy the famous Little Adams Peak for a 360-degree panoramic view.
Visit Nine Arch Bridge and Ella Gap.
Start traveling to Yala and check in to Yala Hotel.

Day 10 Wild Yala Safari

Visit Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery.
Kosgoda stands out as the sole location in Sri Lanka where all five species of sea turtles nest year-round. The species you may encounter include the green turtle, olive ridley, hawksbill, loggerhead, and leatherback. Should fortune be on your side, you might witness the remarkable event of hatching and have the opportunity to assist in returning the hatchlings to the sea.
